What to include

Full name, date and time of birth, height, religion and community, education, occupation and a range for income. Parents’ names and occupations, siblings, and a contact number of a parent or elder. Keep partner preferences to three or four lines.

What to leave out

Exact salary, home address beyond the city, Aadhaar or ID numbers, social-media handles, and anything you would not say in a first meeting. Never include a second person’s phone number without asking.
